Volunteer With Us!

Who We Are.  We support community service and volunteerism at the local level helping improve lives, strengthening communities, and fostering civic engagement. We have been actively serving the region for 49 years as High Country RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), a sponsored program of Colorado Mountain College, and have recently expanded to serve volunteers of all ages in Garfield and Pitkin counties.

What We Believe.  We know volunteers make a significant and lasting impact in our community.  When we come together, we harness the power of volunteerism to meet critical needs and create collective community change.  Whether individuals are volunteering alongside their friends at a community event or serving with one of our community partners year-round,  volunteers can positively impact the community through their time and talents.

What We Do.  We connect volunteers with local community partners who meet critical community needs in Garfield and Pitkin counties. Our volunteers improve their local communities by serving meals to seniors, mentoring youth, rebuilding trails, serving at local food banks, and volunteering in local libraries, schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations.

Our volunteers also lead our signature direct service programs including: SHIP/Medicare Counseling, Tax Assistance Program, and they teach educational classes for older adults.
